I contemplated upgrading my GoPro Hero 10 Black to Hero 11, primarily because of the improved Hypersmooth and Horizon leveling features in the new model.
I didn't use the screen very much and thought the smaller, compact size of the Hero 11 Black Mini would be perfect for me. I was concerned about the non-removable battery.
When the GoPro Hero Black 11 mini went on sale, dropping the price from $399 to $199, I decided to try it.
Highlights
- Shares the HERO11 Black’s 8:7 sensor, HyperSmooth 5.0 stabilization, and Horizon Lock
- Compact size
-
Low price ($199)
Lowlight
- Non-removable battery (about 50 minutes of recording in my use)
- I found quick changes awkward without a touchscreen. The Quik app provides controls, and the camera buttons can also change capture settings.
-
Battery discharges quickly (even when turned off)
