Since our tee time was not available (booked for 09:30), we decided to practice at the driving range at the Pruneridge Golf Club. When we arrived at 09:00, the parking lot was already getting quite full. I had a lot of difficulty getting enough distance and consistency. Perhaps I should be looking to purchase some Golf Clubs? Equipment I’m considering Callaway Edge Regular Flex 10-piece Golf Club Set, Right Handed …

I was excited when Tony invited me to play golf at Pruneridge Golf Club . Although I took golf lessons many years ago and played miniature golf multiple times, I have never played a real game of golf. I met Tony at the Pruneridge Golf Club parking lot at around 8:15 a.m. Very thoughtfully, Tony brought over two sets of clubs - one for me and one for him (I thought I would rent a set of clubs). With waves in Santa Cruz non-existent, I took Alex for miniature golf at Emerald Hills Golfland  in San Jose. Alex would have preferred to surf in Capitola instead. I teed off first, followed by Alex. By luck or skill, I gained an early lead. I sank the ball in two strokes on the first hole while Alex took five. Here is a video from my C…

On this particular occasion, I played unusually well (at least consistently) and made a few errors. Inna and Alex played equally well, eventually tying for second place. We had a close match, but this time, I somehow won.…

Alex and James took an early lead on hole #1, with Alex scoring 2 and James scoring 3, while I scored 3 and Inna scored 4. Here is a video of Inna putting on hole #2: We had a delightful time trying …

In the morning, we quickly packed and headed to beautiful North Lake Tahoe at around 8:00 a.m. There was very little traffic on Highway I-680 and I-80, and we arrived in Truckee (just west of Lake Tahoe) at 11:30 a.m. (a 3.5-hour drive). Since we were hungry and tired from the long drive, we ate lunch at Marty's Cafe - a well-rated restaurant on Yelp. There was a long wait to be seated (as the restaurant was…
